I thought I’d launch this site not by a book review, but with a review of an online journal featuring some of the freshest new prose around on the web or in print, and always free to read for all: elimae.com.
Elimae has been publishing some of the strongest upcoming voices in literature for years now, including folks like Gary Lutz, Diane Williams, Brian Evenson, and the like. Newer incarnations show younger, less established voices, but also doing some of the more interesting things in experimental fiction than a lot of print journals.
Check out this month’s new update, featuring killer work by Matt Bell, Brandi Wells, Greg Gerke, Jared Wahlgren, A D Jameson, and tons more.
Elimae is run by Cooper Renner and updated each month around the 15th. They also includes literary news and some fantastic ebooks. Free lit is good.
